Donnie Van Zant
Donnie Van ZantDonnie Van Zant (born June 11, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American rock vocalist. He is the younger brother of Lynyrd Skynyrd founder & vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, and the older brother of Southern rock vocalist Johnny Van Zant.Van Zant formed .38 Special in 1975 as the lead vocalist. The band started out as a Southern rock band, but transitioned to a more straight-ahead rock sound. The band had a string of hit singles between 1981 and 1991.Van Zant continues to perform with .38 Special today. He also performs with younger brother Johnny as Van Zant.
