Frank Farian
Frank FarianFrank Farian, born Franz Reuther on July 18, 1941, is a German music producer, singer and songwriter.He notably created Boney M in 1974 and wrote most of their original songs.
During the 1980s he was implicated in the Milli Vanilli scandal, a musical equivalent of ghostwriting. He also started the "supergroup" Far Corporation (i.e. (Frank) ''Far''ian Corporation), which featured Steve Lukather, David Paich, Bobby Kimball, Simon Phillips and Robin McAuley, many of Toto fame. Far Corporation is notable for being the first act to chart with a single release of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven, barely making the charts in the U.S., while becoming a top-10 hit in the UK, reaching number 8 in October 1985.
