As a youngster, he dreamt of becoming a professional football player, he had trials for Manchester United, Huddersfield Town, and Rochdale football clubs, but due to serious injury, had no choice but to give up on his dreams. He won the second series of ''Celebrity Big Brother'' in 2002. In April 2004 he established his own record company called Sedna Records Ltd.Mark was educated at the "Holy Rosary Primary" and "St Augustine of Canterbury" Secondary in Oldham.Mark's girlfriend was Joanna after leaving Take That, then dated actress Chloe Bailey, and is now dating a girl named Emma.On Wednesday 16 November 2005, Take That got back together for a TV documentry in which they aired their views over the split and what they had been up to during the last 10 years. Finally on Friday 25 November 2005, there was an official press conference by the band announcing that the post Robbie Williams lineup were going to tour in 2006.
