Matt Jay
Matt in BustedMatthew James Willis (aka Matt Jay) was the oldest member of the highly successful British pop group Busted which has since split up. He was born on 8 May 1983. He plays bass guitar as well as singing, and he can also play drums and guitar. Matt has one sister, Amanda, and one brother, Darren, who was in a band called Undesided, until the week of the Busted split also became the week of their own demise. He formed a new band with former Undesided member Pete, called Superkicks, but left in September to spend time with his fiance.After the Busted split, Matt plans to go solo, and has already been back in the studio and written some tracks which he describes as pop/punk. His favourite bands include Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Clash, The Sex Pistols etc, which may give us an idea of his planned musical direction.Matt’s debut single will be released in January, 2006
