Pete Loeffler
Pete Loeffler is the lead guitarist and lead singer for the Chicago progressive/alternative rock band Chevelle. He has a penchant for industrial music, although he insists that Chevelle "is not that kind of band." He is a fan of "eerie guitar sounds, like pick scrapes that are distorted dramatically or put through some sort of crazy effect." His vocal sound varies from clean melodic singing to screams.Equipment-wise, Loeffler plays Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 guitars tuned to B, C#, and D. He uses three Boss pedals, including a BF-3 flanger, PH-3 Phase Shifter, and a TU-2 tuner. His amp of choice has long been a Mesa Boogie Mark IV. His onstage rig has two Mark IV heads, with one as a backup. He handles channel switching with an Axess Electronics MIDI pedal.Loeffler, Pete
